I would love to purchase a building or multifamily house that I can rent out to persons who need wheelchair accessible housing in the Westchester or Long Island, NY area. I would be happy to accept section 8, hud, or medicaid waiver subsidies and allow the environmental modifications to be made. I work in a field where I recognize the need for accessible housing. I would much rather provide and manage housing for this population then continue to search for housing for them when there simply isn't enough of it out there. Is there any funding out there to provide down payment and closing costs for someone like me? My credit is not the worst but is not the best either. I just don't have the funds to get started.
